Why You Should Consider Co Authors For Your eBooks

By Lance Winslow

Writing an e-Book can be a very wise thing to do to assist you in your career, consulting business, or establish yourself as a leader in your field. More and more folks are writing e-Books these days and for a multitude of reasons, but if you are writing such an electronic book for commercial purposes there are some things you may wish to consider. You see, over the last three years, I’ve written 10-eBooks, and on quite a few I’ve taken on co-authors. Why you ask?

Well, in my co-author eBooks, what I do is try to find experts in their industry, and write with them, using information from both them and me. It gives credibility to the book, but mostly I write and use information “we” discuss amongst ourselves. The reality is that most of the authors listed in my eBooks did very little, but assisted me in my research to make sure the book hit all the key points. Why?

Otherwise the book could potentially be laughed at by those in the industry, because they might assume I didn’t know what I was talking about, even if I do. After all, it “seems” unbelievable that one individual can know or have experienced all I have, but really I am not other folks. You see that problem I have?

So, the co-author concept is to help me get over that hurdle of perception of the reader, because the problem with humans is they categorize everything, and when something is outside their realm of understanding, experience, observations, or experience, they cannot classify it, and this highly disturbs their psyche, even if they themselves do not comprehend what is going on in their own minds. Well, now I am getting into psychology and philosophy and you may not care about this topic, but this is what happens.

Therefore, by taking on coauthors I am able to jump that hurdle, and write on many different subjects, and still maintain believability in which ever niche that individual work is focused on. So, I’d recommend you consider this, and perhaps, find a co-author for your next eBook. Think on it.
