Learn From eBay University

By Claude J Anthony

If you really want to learn all you can about eBay, a great place to go is to eBay University. Well, actually eBay University comes to you.

That’s right, trained and experienced instructors are most likely in your area right now. Some experts travel from city to city to share their knowledge with you… and they know what they are doing. You might even have one who lives in your area and gives classes.

This is really a great way to get started on eBay and to get a lot of good knowledge under your belt. They offer you two courses that represent two levels of learning. There is the “Selling Basics” course and the “Beyond the Basics” course.

The “Selling Basics” Course will teach you how to:

1. Become an eBay seller

2. Do research and create listings

3. Set pricing

4. Improve your listings with better descriptions and photography

5. Complete transactions

6. Set pricing

7. Open and use a PayPal account (a must-have for selling on eBay)

8. Monitor your listings

Okay, this is great for starters. If you have not mastered the above, you would be hurting yourself to go on. Learn these things first, whether you try eBay University or get your info from a book.

The second course, “Beyond the Basics” is, well, beyond the basics. This is where you will learn to start and grow your business, create good listings, use the eBay tools, pack and ship inventory, etc.

I’m not sure what the present cost of the course is, but I think it is around $40 for a full day of training. The nice thing about this course is that you have a real live person there to answer all your questions.

If attending a class in your area is not possible, do not fret. You can also get the same course online or on a CD-ROM…and it will cost you less.

Just go to the eBay home page and hold your cursor over the “help” link and you will find eBay University there.

So dig in, learn eBay, and start making some money!
